A day trip to Vernon-Giverny

I had been looking forward to this trip. It was the first trip I and Benoîte took together, outside Paris, for a whole day!

We met at the Cour de Rome in the morning, then took a train to go to Vernon. We agreed to walk to Giverny, to Claude Monet’s mansion with the famous jardin! The lily pond!

Of course, I did not miss the opportunity to capture the waning gibbous moon! Just outside St Lazare station, Cour de Rome exit

So the distance is more than google map stated, we walked about one and a half hour, nearly 7 km;

Before we finally arrived at the mansion. Straight to the garden with the famous bridge and pond of lily.

I had fun doing some macros;

Then we traveled back to Vernon, on foot. Again. It was hot and we took a breath, watching the flock of swan and duck swimming in Seine.

The heat was serious and we sat to take a brief break, watching avian group roaming in Seine

That resolved the trip!
