Und schließlich Leopoldsberg, der Ort auf dem Hügel und das andere Wiener Wahrzeichen.

30 October 2025

Finally after all these years, I visited Leopoldsberg, the place from the hill which is visible from Jeddlesee. It was actually an interesting spot, a very nice and simple monastery-like castle, surrounded by nature and decent steep hiking path. With additional colors of autumn makes the view stunning. The aerial view of the city was not a let down!

I did find this gate with wooden door is interesting, I could almost imagine the life happened in hundred years ago, monastery style 🙂

Some vegetation on the monastery’s walls. Well-kept bushes indeed, with autumn colors. Very pretty.

Here is the itinerary on that spot;

Arrived at the spot at 12 pm, spent over an hour there, before drove back to the city.

A view of foliage while we were driving back to the city;

Bunten Straße

Later the evening, while my sister was picking up her child from school, I wandered solo to reach Rathause area and it was in time for golden hours and der Mond! Half moon. I told a friend some time ago that the moon always makes me feel giddy. And having the opportunity to capture the moon with some Viennese landmark was my kind of luck!

Das Burgtheater mit dem Mond

Andere Gebäude mit dem Mond. Immer schön.

Some captures of benefiting golden hours;

The golden color was reflecting on the windows

The following is the itinerary for this evening, I walked through Stephanplatz to get to the destination and photo spots;

What a day and I did have fun!
